Dvorak likely makes the most sense, assuming Dach and Monahan are really ready to go.

But I doubt they get fair value on Dvorak for what they paid to get him, not even close, so I doubt that happens. Likely get a good haul if you hold him til the TDL and he has a moderately decent season.

One (or two) of Armia, Hoffman or Drouin needs to GTFO though.

word is Drouin is the guy they are trying to move to make space for Slaf.

They will move Dvorak once Dach shows he is ready to takeon a top 6 role. Best case scenario is at the TDL if not next season.

I think they keep Armia for a while, Hoffman and Drouin are the main guys that need to move. 4.5M cap hit for Hoffman, 5.5M for Drouin. Hoffman has terms...2 more years while Drouin is UFA next summer.

I see Hoffman and Drouin as unmovable before the season starts.

Only a strong/healthy start by either player can change that.

Armia and Dvorak could be moved but we'd be selling low in both cases.

Edmundson?

No way, he's here until the end of his contract or the deadline leading to it.

I'll wait until someone with more credibility, like Eklund or my parking lot guy says something similar before believing it.

Name the guy the assistant captain so his value increases exponentially!

I don't think you name your leadership group if you plan on trading one of them 2 weeks later.

He will stick around for this whole year, and likely most of next year (unless an extension is done before then).

Yes, Hughes says he wants stability in leadership and will make Edmundson an alternate only to turn around and trade him weeks later when his d line is insanely young. Makes sense.

It doesn't. Unless the return is worth it.

Still interesting what Lavoie has to say about the situation.

Giving him the A was the right move.

We all know he won't be here for "long". Safe to think he's gone at the trade deadline.

I was on team captain Edmundson until Nick or someone else was ready.

Guess they feel he's already there and they know him more than us so... Gotta trust their judgement.
